Potensic has really knocked it out of the park, I have multiple other drones that are now collecting dust. I purchased the Atom 2 fly mor package during the Father’s Day sale, it’s been in the air every day since, I have videos scheduled on my YouTube thru August and tons waiting for editing. Thank you Potensic for making such a great affordable product.
Had been shopping around for a drone. I had never owned one before so I did a TON of research and landed on this one. And yes.....I know DJI is the "gold standard" but don't sleep on this one. Even without the obstacle avoidance, is has been super easy to operate. If you do like I did, I launched it and kept it super close as I figured out the controls and got to "know the machine". Gradually, as I felt comfortable, kept getting farther out.
The video quality is excellent. Although I did get a little "tile-ing" when turning the camera once but I am pretty sure that had something to do with the settings and time of day. (late evening to dark)
The ease of use makes me think this drone thing is going to be an expensive hobby for me in the years to come. I am liking this WAAAAAYYY too much.

Amazing little drone!
This is my first drone, and I’m honestly so glad I went with the Atom 2. Flew it yesterday in 38km/h mountain winds during a hike—handled like a champ and captured awesome footage. It’s really inspired me to dive deeper into drone photography and videography.
I genuinely hope Potensic keeps growing into a bigger brand and starts making pro-level powerhouse drones—I’ll be first in line to buy them all!
Only downside: Potensic Care isn’t available in Ireland yet, but customer support was super helpful and quick to respond. They agreed to reopen my ticket once it launches here.
Highly recommend this for beginners. It packs a ton of advanced features that big brands charge way more for—Atom 2 gives it all in one affordable package, and the quality is right up there with the best.
Just a small suggestion: the Follow Me mode stays too high—it would be amazing if it could track from a lower angle to catch more of the horizon. Maybe something tweakable in a future software update? I get it’s for safety since there's no obstacle avoidance, but having a manual mode with AI features still active (plus a warning that Potensic Care won’t cover on this mode) would be awesome for people who like to push limits a little.
Anyway, long review—but seriously, big thanks to the Potensic dev and design team. Hope this goes to the team. Keep making amazing drones!
I absolutely love this drone. I've had a few. We're all about 5 100 and something dollar drones, and they're all right. Really poorly made and don't operate well.
The atom, 2, it's truly amazing., i do, however, I wish that there was more time to purchase the care package after activating the drone. I could not load my PayPal card for some reason. And now I can't get insurance.
As far as the product, it is the best. I've had please do something about the time allotted for
