Curious about the 'Cruise Control' feature on the ATOM 2? As the name suggests, this function allows your drone to maintain a constant speed with a single tap. Once activated, the drone will continue flying at the set speed, letting you focus on direction and maneuvers to capture smoother, more cinematic shots.

Cruise Control on ATOM 2

The Cruise Control feature allows the drone to lock in the current control stick input, enabling it to automatically maintain a consistent speed. This makes long-distance flights more effortless and efficient. Watch the tutorial video below for a step-by-step guide, and follow these instructions to get started:

How to Enable Cruise Control

Set the Cruise Control Button
  • Open the Potensic App > Settings > Control > Remote Controller Settings.
  • In the Button Customization page, assign either customizable button as the Cruise Control button.
  • By default, press the C2 button twice to enable, disable, or update Cruise Control.

Activate Cruise Control During Flight

  • Move either the pitch or roll stick to set your desired speed.
  • Press the Cruise Control button twice on the remote controller.
  • The drone will fly at the current speed corresponding to the control stick input

Update Cruise Control Speed

During Cruise Control, if the control sticks are toggled again, the drone will incorporate the new stick input into its flight.

If the custom cruise control button is pressed again at this time, Cruise Control will be updated, the drone will continue flying at the new cruise speed based on the incorporated control stick inputs

Ways to Exit Cruise Control

  • Press the Cruise Control button without any stick input.
  • Or press the Return-to-Home (RTH) button on the remote controller.
  • Or tap "X" on the left side of the flight interface.
  • Once exited, the drone will hover in place.

🚨 Note: Cruise Control cannot be activated if the battery level is below 10% or if the GNSS is not accurate enough.
